Charlotte, North Carolina-
Landis Wade is a self-described recovering trial lawyer who followed in his late journalist grandfather’s footsteps byway of writing to become an award-winning author– as well as the creator and host of Charlotte Reader’s Podcast.
Charlotte Reader’s Podcast encourages authors to read and talk about their award-winning, published and emerging works– and was voted Charlotte’s best podcast in 2019. His goal is to use the medium of podcasting to build a community of readers and writers where authors give voice to their written words.

“When I started podcasting in the fall of 2018, I didn’t know the difference between a mixing board and a mixing bowl, why I needed an audio host, or how to get voices to travel into a microphone and end up in Apple Podcast land, but I loved to read and write, so I figured I might be able to learn the rest. Since then I have interviewed over 140 authors, done a number of live podcasts and on April 28th, I released our 100th episode with national best-selling author Craig Johnson, author of the Longmire books that was turned into a Netflix series. We release two shows each week.” – Landis Wade, host and creator of Charlotte Readers Podcast
One Christmas toward the end of his 35-year law career, Wade was inspired to write a holiday-themed courtroom adventure as a gift for his family which would later become his first published novel, The Christmas Heist. He would go on to publish a second book in the series, The Legally Binding Christmas. His third book—The Christmas Redemption—won the Holiday category of the 12th Annual National Indie Excellence Awards and was the 2018 Honorable Mention in the 10th Annual Readers’ Favorite Awards.
The former dean of Wake Forest Law School called The Christmas Heist, the first book in the Christmas Courtroom trilogy, a “script somewhere between the screenplays for My Cousin Vinny and Miracle on 34th Street.”
